About Me
I help parents protect their kids online, set healthy boundaries with technology, and build a home where devices don’t run the show.

Hi, I'm Casey
I’m a software developer, advocate, and consultant who has spent years helping families live well in this tech-filled world.
I started Internet Safety Consulting because I saw a growing problem that most families weren’t equipped to handle.
Technology is everywhere. Kids are getting access earlier than ever. And most parents are left trying to figure it out on their own—piecing together advice, apps, and rules that don’t always work or are too challenging to manage.
I’ve spent years studying how technology impacts families—from screen time and social media to online safety risks—and developing practical systems that actually help.
This isn’t about fear or overprotection – it’s about giving you clarity, confidence, and a plan.
Why I Do This
When I was 11 years old (and already addicted to gaming), I clicked a link on my favorite gaming website. I thought it was for a harmless video… it was not.
In an instant, I was exposed to pornography—and I had no idea how to process what I had just seen. So I did what most kids do.
I hid.
I didn’t tell my parents.
I didn’t tell anyone.
And that silence is what allowed it to grow. What started as confusion turned into curiosity. Curiosity turned into a cycle. Even though I knew it was wrong, I kept going back. Not because I wanted to—but because those patterns had already started forming in my brain.
And for years, that cycle was filled with shame, guilt, and isolation.
But everything changed when I finally brought it into the light. Instead of rejection, I experienced healing, support, and real change by the grace of God working through the kindness of my friends and family. That’s when healing actually began. Through counseling, accountability, and intentional change, I was able to rebuild my relationship with technology and break free from something that had controlled me for years.
This is why I do what I do.
- To help kids avoid ever experiencing what I went through
- To help parents know how to respond when things go wrong
- To replace shame with open conversation
- And to help families build a healthy relationship with technology from the start

Why Internet Safety Matters (For Everyone!)
Technology is invading every single part of our lives, often in overwhelming and harmful ways
- Immediate access to unlimited content
- Social Media platforms designed to be addictive
- Unwanted exposure to explicit content at young ages
- Increasing amounts of cyberbullying, sextortion, and scams
- The new, scary world of AI
Most people feel this—but don’t know what to do next.
Some try to lock everything down.
Others avoid the issue and hope for the best.
Neither leads to long-term success. Without a clear approach, technology slowly takes control of your life instead of helping you.
My Approach to Internet Safety
I don’t believe internet safety is just about installing parental controls or not using technology. Real change comes with a comprehensive Internet Safety Plan.
1. Foundation: Family Vision
Define what you want technology to look like in your home and create a clear direction for your family
2. Filters and Safeguards
Implement the right parental controls, filters, and device management strategies—without overcomplicating things.
3. Healthy Relational Habits and Practices
Establish screen time boundaries, tech-free traditions, and a balanced relationship with technology.
And all of this is supported by my commitment to continued check-ins and support as your family grows and technology changes!
