What is an Internet Safety Plan?
Internet Safety: The technological controls and relational practices that enable people to use internet-connected devices in healthy, beneficial ways with limited exposure to harmful and unwanted content.
Internet Safety Plan: A holistic approach to establishing internet safety for your family and raising your kids to be safe and responsible online.
The Plan is not some generic, “10-step” plan that may or may not work for you; it’s something individualized by me to fit your family’s unique home tech environment, family dynamics, and goals and desires. I provide the structure and guidance to make it easy for you to establish your Plan and implement it in a way that works best for you.
What if I'm not very tech savvy?
No problem at all; in fact, that’s exactly why I do this! I’ve recognized how incredibly busy parents are. Even with the best intentions and love for their children, most parents don’t have the time to research all of their tech, know the danger areas, and figure out and implement the best safety controls.
I have years of experience in all areas of technology, and I want to use my time and knowledge to do this for you! I’ll also walk you through implementing any software solutions I recommend so that you don’t have to try to figure these things out on your own.
What if my child has already been exposed to explicit content or is addicted to digital content?
Pornography and gaming addiction is at an all time high. Millions of kids have fallen prey to companies tricking and luring them in with tempting content and causing a variety of challenges.
But trauma, addiction, and false beliefs that arise from exposure to explicit content CAN be mitigated and reversed, and the quicker that process starts, the better. I can provide resources and suggestions for internet safety practices to prevent further exposure.

Do you do in-person or remote meetings?
I prefer in-person meetings for those in the Treasure Valley to get to know you better and see the devices and setup you have, but I’m happy to do remote meetings as well if you would prefer to do so, or if you live far away.
For remote meetings, any of the following platforms works for me:
- Zoom
- Microsoft Teams
- FaceTime
- Skype
- Google Meet
- [probably another one if you have a preferred platform not listed above]
How much do you charge?
During our meetings, I may also recommend some devices and software that will cost money. I have discount codes for some products that get you a discount, and I receive some money (usually ~10% of the purchase total) from the business that you use a referral code for. I only join affiliate programs for products I truly believe in and would (and do) use in my own home, and none of them have sales numbers I have to meet, so I’ll never push a product that I don’t think is right for you.
How do I keep my kids safe online?
That’s a huge and very important question! It’s why I like to do individual consulting, because every family is going to have different goals and restrictions they want for their kids’ tech usage. Keeping children safe online involves both relational practices that teach your kids how to use tech well, and technological controls that prevent them from being exposed to harmful content.
